Community Service Opportunity -Teens ages 12-19 assist in training student doctors at Georgetown Medical Center. Students role play different scenarios to help medical students develop their diagnostic and communications skills.
Teen Improv Festival - In this annual event, high school aged students from the Washington DC metropolitan area perform and hone their improvisational theatre skills before a live audience.
Cappies Critics - Homeschool students write reviews of local high school theatre productions for the Cappies Critics Program. Best reviews will be published in local newspapers. Some initial training required. Requires a multi-session Fall and Spring commitment.
Writing for Theatre for 14-18 year olds - Overview of writing for the theatre, including criticism, dramaturgy, and playwriting. Students will have opportunity to stage their own works. Three initial two-hour sessions, followed by online assignments and bi-monthly meetings throughout the school year.
Fall Revue for 13-18 year olds - Improv, acting, and tech with a December performance. Classes meet twice weekly (daily meetings during Tech Week and Performance Week) mid-September - mid-December.
Spring Cappies Show for 13-18 year olds - Our big show of the year, performed before the community and critics from local high schools. Performers and techies will be eligible to participate in the Washington metropolitan area Cappies Awards Program for high school theatre. Classes meet twice a week (daily meetings during Tech Week and Performance Week) early January - March/April.
Improv Class for 6-12 year olds - Improvisation, theatre games, and creative play to introduce the younger set to theatre.
